Walnut oil is a wonderful addition to cheese salads, beef and blends seamlessly with balsamic vinegar. Can also be used in baked goods, especially with baked fruits.
Wonderfully natural
This walnut oil is made wonderfully natural: untouched soil, some rain, sun and lots of passion brings a little piece of Spain to your kitchen. Here’s how:
1. Harvest
The walnuts are grown in a small orchard in Aragon, in the north east of Spain
2. Production
The walnuts are washed and then dried in the wonderful Spanish sun for several days. The walnuts are then ground and cold pressed to release the their wonderful natural oils. The oil is then filtered to achieve a perfect final product.
3. Packaging
The only thing we love as much as our wonderfully natural oils is the packaging they come in:
Our new white bottles are tinted using natural pigments only and have a 100% UV light protection
The label on this bottle is fully removable so help with the recycling process. All you need to do is remove the label and bin it in the plastic container. Easy peasy!
More than 80% of our prints are made from vegetable-based inks
The cases we use to ship our bottles are made of 100% recycled paper and are 100% recycable. Furthermore, the inks we use on the smaller boxes are printed using vegetable based inks only.
Health benefits
Walnut Oil is a rich source of omega 3 (1.4g per 1 Tbs.), which can help to prevent cardiovascular disease while acting as a counterweight to bad cholesterol. Since the oil is not refined, it also has a very high level of natural antioxidants. Walnut oil contains 72% polyunsaturated fat by content: 60% linolenic acid and 12% alpha-linolenic acid.
