The hazelnuts are roasted and then cold pressed through traditional methods following a 75 year old tradition. This oil is perfect for adding a rich hazelnut flavour to pasta, red meat or fish and for use in baking.
Wonderfully natural
This hazelnut oil is made wonderfully natural: untouched soil, some rain, sun and lots of passion brings a little piece of Spain to your kitchen. Here’s how:
1. Harvest
We grow the hazelnuts in the northern region of Spain, Catalonia, in a small orchard. Local farmers then, with mucho amor, hand-pick the hazelnuts from the trees and bring them to the mill for production.
2. Production
The process of extracting the oil has not changed for centuries. First, the hazelnuts are roasted. They are then cold pressed to release the natural oils. These are then filtered to achieve a perfect final product.
3. Packaging
The only thing we love as much as our wonderfully natural oils is the packaging they come in:
Our new white bottles are tinted using natural pigments only and have a 100% UV light protection
The label on this bottle is fully removable so help with the recycling process. All you need to do is remove the label and bin it in the plastic container. Easy peasy!
More than 80% of our prints are made from vegetable-based inks
The cases we use to ship our bottles are made of 100% recycled paper and are 100% recycable. Furthermore, the inks we use on the smaller boxes are printed using vegetable based inks only.
Health benefits
Hazelnut oil not only tastes delicious, but it's also good for you. Did you know it has the same oleic- acid content as olive oil?
