As Kermit the frog (a.k.a. Gustavo la rana) once said, it's not easy being green. But at azada we are doing our very best.
We are highly savvy in how and how much we impact this and always try to be wary of the consequences of our actions, in both the short and the long term. We try to leave things a little better than how we found them, and to encourage others to join us too. We don’t only talk the talk but we also walk the walk.
We carefully measure our carbon footprint every year and do our best to keep improving it. We also pay a premium to work with farmers that protect the local biodiversity, and are trying our best to encourage our distributors to do the same by using eco-friendly vans.
We care for el planeta we live in.
Packaging
The only things we love as much as our oils are the bottles they come in:
Our new white bottles are made of glass and are tinted using natural pigments only with a 100% UV light protection
We have two types of labels: The first type, used in our 250ml bottles, is made of 95% of sugar cane fibers, 5% of hemp (yes, marijuana) and linen hence we don't cut down trees. The second type, used in our 100ml bottles, is fully compostable and degradable. Both are the first of its kind in Europe
We are moving to vegetable-based inks in all our prints
Once you’ve finished enjoying our oils, the bottles are easy as pie to recycle... so do your bit and help us complete the cycle
The cases we use to ship our bottles are made of 100% recycled paper and are 100% recycable. Furthermore, the inks we use on the smaller boxes are printed using vegetable based inks only.
Other
We try to apply our eco-friendly ways to every part of our business:
All our stationary is printed on 100% recycled paper and all azada's A4 paper for printing and photocopying has been replaced with 100% recycled paper
We only use vegetable-based inks for our stationery
On the premises we recycle white and coloured paper, magazines, newspapers, cardboard, fluorescent light tubes, toner cartridges, glass and plastic bottles, cans, CDs, mobile phones, batteries, electronic equipment
All our bulbs are eco-friendly, so we use less electricity (and save ourselves some cash too)
There are no plastic cups in our offices, only mugs and glasses
All computers, monitors and lights are turned off at the end of the working day
Oh, and Kevin is only shaving once a week now, thus reducing water usage.
Think of more ways of being greener?
