Our olive oils are made exclusively with the finest arbequina olives, which originate from the Siurana region in sunny Spain. The Siurana region is located in the north-east part of Spain, along a strip in the province of Tarragona, perpendicular to the Mediterranean Sea. This region boasts a wonderful climate with an average of 16ºC and just 450mm of rain a year. With the Mediterranean Sea so close, the Suirana region has high winds with a distinctive sea flavour. The region ranges from just 100 metres above sea level to an impressive 1000 metres above sea level.
The arbequina olive is a small, hard olive with a small amount of flesh which changes colour from pale green to pink and finally to purple during it's maturity. The famous extra virgin olive oil created from these small delicacies has been described by sommeliers as a very fruity oil. It is characterized by fluidity and extraordinary fragrance with light flavours of apple, green grass, a little pepperiness and considerable sweetness. In the mouth this is a gentle and very fluid oil with specific attributes of green almond and the flavour of recently mown grass.
