100% Arbequina from organic farming
Obtained from organic farming from el Baix Camp en Tarragona, the Arbequina olive has been described by sommeliers as a very fruity oil. It is characterized by fluidity and extraordinary fragrance with light flavours of apple, green grass, a little pepperiness and considerable sweetness. In the mouth this is a gentle and very fluid oil with specific attributes of green almond and the flavour of recently mown grass.

Organic farming
We follow organic farming practices:  untouched soil, rain, sun and lots of passion helped bring a little piece of Spain to your home. Here’s how::
1. Harvest
soil plus cloud plus sun equals tree
We grow the Arbequina variety in the northern region of Spain, Catalonia, in a small olive orchard. There it stays for many months enjoying the Spanish sun until it is just perfecto for pressing, around November each year. Local farmers then, with mucho amor, hand-pick the olives from the trees and bring them to the mill for production.
2. Production
arbequina-small ot;plus" heart equals bottle
The olives are pressed and never blended with a cheper variety. It is purely made from 100% organic Arbequina olives. After pressing, we immediately move it to subterranean tanks where a perfect cool temperature is maintained and no sunlight can access it, protecting all the incredible qualities of the oil. When an order is received, we bottle and ship it to its new destination. Hasta pronto!
3. Packaging
arboles plus fabrica plus camion equals earth
The only thing we love as much as our wonderfully natural olive oils are the bottles they come in:
arrow Our new white bottles are tinted using natural pigments only and have a 100% UV light protection
arrow This label is made of 95% of sugar cane fibers, 5% of hemp and linen hence we don't cut down trees. They are the first of its kind in Europe
arrow More than 80% of our prints are made from vegetable-based inks
arrow The cases we use to ship our bottles are made of 100% recycled paper and are 100% recycable. Furthermore, the inks we use on the smaller boxes are printed using vegetable based inks only.

"I was excited about the arrival of this product to our shores months ago after finding the Azada website.... And finally I have my long awaited first bottle, and I promise you it has been worth the wait!
I am a big fan of good quality olive oils, and am always in search of something that’s going to complement the food I cook and eat. This extra virgin olive oil has a fresh beautifully rounded taste, it’s not too strong or robust so won’t overpower your taste buds or your food, after all, what we want is to taste and complement the ingredients, not mask them. I really smiled when I tasted the warm juicy flavours of fully ripened succulent olives.... Mmmmmm! I have so far tasted my precious elixir with soft fresh bread and enjoyed its subtle nutty flavour, generously drizzled over sweet sauteed onions and peas and delighted at its well rounded ripeness, and with simple mozzarella and tomatoes enjoyed its fresh grassy flavour.
So yes, very happy... but wait, there’s more. I got myself a little bottle of the lemon infused oil too!!! Now, I have tasted lemon ‘infused’ olive oils many times but this was a whole different flavour sensation, not just a hint of lemons, but REAL lemon flavour.... From what I gather off the bottle the olives and lemons are crushed together so what you get is an amazingly zesty lemon flavour along with their delicious fresh extra virgin olive oil. I cooked hammour and cous-cous for dinner last night drizzled with the lemon oil, the cous-cous soaked up the flavour of punchy lemons and the hammour was just happy to be along for the ride. Our meal was transformed from dinner in front of the TV into a memory of Mediterranean holidays..... Am I getting carried away? It would seem so, but believe me, when you try this stuff you will too!
I think we’ll have pasta for dinner tonight with homemade Olive and lemon tapenade, made with Azada lemon olive oil of course, and ricotta.
Lastly, at the risk of sounding boring and nerdy, I want to add something about the quality of the product over all. Unlike wine, with olive oil the fresher it is the better it is, and so it is great to see on every bottle of Azada Olive Oil the production date. It’s fantastic to know when it was pressed so you know it’s as fresh as possible and will retain its wonderful flavours without any of the ‘tinny’ or ‘metalic’ taste of a product that has been sitting on a shelf for too long.
Enough for now, I’ll be back with more once I try out the coffee extra virgin olive oil...... drizzled over fresh crepes with grated dark chocolate??? ;-)"
